MELISSA J. CRUZ graduated from the Emory University Goizueta School of Business in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After graduation, she worked for a year as a legal assistant at an Atlanta-based law firm specializing in workers' compensation. In 2013, Melissa earned her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. While attending law school, she served as an Associate Research Editor for the 2012-2013 Editorial Board of the Georgia State University Law Review. As a member of the Moot Court Board, she competed in and later coached 2nd and 3rd year law students in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition. She also served as a law clerk for the Honorable Kimberly E. Adams in Fulton County Superior Court. Melissa is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
